Long Weekend

Today is my Friday, once my husband gets home from a ceremony he are headed to Texas to see my baby sister Nina graduate, very proud of her. Going to have some BBQ and hopefully hit the lake while we are there and go see my dad.

Being proud of Nina made me realize, my family is in a good place. Even with all the crap that’s happen in the past 6 years, it seems it’s finally getting better. Slowly, but who cares how long it takes as long as we are going forward. My mom is sick less, she sounded so good on the phone. Nina graduating high school Melissa took a huge step and moved away for a little while knowing it was going to be hard with 2 kids and she is doing it, very proud of her as well, soon she will be a nurse. I have 3 sisters and its nice seeing the baby ones all grown up. Laura and I have jobs so that's our plus. Love you guys and keep moving forward no matter the speed, we are moving in the right direction.

Pic from last year of us girls

The next good thing will be my mom’s house being sold, that will be a good day.
I am also very excited about the summer inventory we have with vault denim. We have some super cute Bermuda shorts; I can't wait to try them on Monday. Excited for the t-ball jean party, Hope my friend hosting gets some free jeans!!!

Hope you all have a great Memorial Weekend.

Praying

All soldiers are always in my prayers, but seem like we need a little more prayer.

This has not been a good week in Afghanistan, not that any week is really but I've been reading posts on my facebook of friends who have lost someone, or they know someone who has got hurt. No matter who you are I am praying for YOU, your family and friends. I know this is the worst possible news and it feels like the end of the world. I can't make your pain go away but I can tell you that your soldier is a HERO and will never be forgotten and I am so sorry for your loss. When I lost my dad in Iraq it was not easy, but for me I just tried hard to remember all the good memories and know that he loved being a soldier.

The Army is all I know, born into it and married into it. I have no idea what it's like not to be apart of the Military, but I think on days like today I am ready

to not miss my husband anymore, and have him home forever.

to not worry that he will leave again.

to not explain to my son where Daddy is.

to meet amazing people, and love them to but know I will be gone in 3 years and have to start all over again.

Don't get me wrong I love being a army wife, but somedays it's nice to wonder how life would be if we were not military.

To all the Army Wives out there, you are strong and I respect every single one of you.

Cranky Pants

Do you ever have those mornings where nothing goes right?

I was so cranky this morning, woke up on the wrong side for sure.
I slept in, which was bad, I woke up with a headache. Anything and everything was irritating. My hair was a hot mess, I even felt horrible in what I was wearing but it was to late to turn around go back home and change because I did not want to be late for work. Thankfully I have a awesome friend and The second I asked if she would give me a shirt she did, not hesitation. It was already 82 degrees outside and it was only 10:30 am, no air in the car is going to drive me nuts, the only plus side is maybe Ill lose weight faster just kidding there is no plus side. It's going to be a long summer if I don't get it fixed soon.

Ok I'm done venting and wanted to share. :) , Just had a horrible morning, and have 30 minutes left at work and WEEKEND here I come.

Have a great weekend everyone.

One year ago today I started blogging.

A year ago today my house in Washington state was all packed up, we were 11 days away from moving to Lawton, Oklahoma. Its been an very interesting year. It's truly amazing how much can happen in a year.

Then

Now

Aiden's now walking, talking, throwing fits, jumping on trampolines, dancing and my favorite new thing is him saying I love you all own his own.

Then

Had all day to spend with Aiden, no job and no friends that lived near me.

Now
I have great friends that I heart and a Job that helps give us a little extra.

Then

I had no idea what link ups where and what Pinterest was, I can thank my friend Ashleigh for hooking me up with the things that go on around the blog world. I would not have found most of the blogs I follow. Thank you Ashleigh.

Life As I Know It

I started blogging to share things about my area, and share my life as a mom, army wife, friend, sister, daughter, and women. I love blogging because its something I can look back at and see what was going on in my life at a certain point.

Thank you awesome followers who read about my small world.

80's Bash & Mother's Day

This weekend was amazing, had a great time with my boys and some friends. We through one of my friends a 80'S Birthday Bash. We jammed to the music, dressed up in the style and rocked it out. What better way to show everyone by linking up for Phone Photo Fun Mondays.

My hubby started off  smoking ribs Saturday morning, and while Aiden napped I headed to a simply tasteful party, yummy food, we all got pretty roses from the lovely host Tiffany, such a sweetie.

Once we were all done stuffing our faces, and its sad but I think I ate all the beer bread all my myself, that stuff was so good. Everyone headed home to get ready for the Birthday Party. I will let the Photos show the fun we had. It was truly a great night.

                                                                   Birthday Girl

Those are just the few that I took from my phone, I LOVE MY IPHONE.
 Can't go wrong having a 80's Bash.

Mother's Day

I woke up to a box and and love note.
My Boys gave me a custom mad candle that has all different kinds of symbols and meanings.
Love it.

Spent the day out with my boys. Lunch, went and saw prairie dogs, played at the park, and sat by the small lake/pond.

It was a beautiful day. Hope all your Moms had a great day!

MOM ENOUGH?

Have you seen the cover of Time magazine??

Photobucket

When I see this, all I see is a magazine trying to sell TONS of magazines. The inside has better pictures of this mom BF her kiddo.  They had to choose the picture that stir things up of course.

This picture did remind me though of Aiden, I BF until he was 20 months and only because I had trouble weaning, and still till this day he wont drink any other milk, so now he gets lots of yogurt and cheese.  Anyways he would stand up and I hated it, I would try to lay him back down because to me I felt like I was BF a big kid. This is just my personal opinion, kuddos to those who can BF there little ones standing, It just weirded me out.

I really don't like the tittle... What do you all think?

I got this from a friends facebook, and I love it.
Its so true and how I look at things, I NEVER judge!!!! Even being a breastfeeding peer counselor, if you do you do, if you don't you don't, its YOUR decision. My job is just to be support if you need it. Everyone does things the way they want, who are we to judge?

I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend and great Mothers Day.

Double link up. Birthday Edition

Mixing 2 links for 2 different days, I have doctors appointments this week and wont be able to get new posts ready.

My real camera was broke so these are really from my phone. I don't know what I would do with it.
I'm loving that my Little man turned 2 last week. It's so amazing to see how much he has grown. On Saturday we had a combined birthday party for him and my nephew Johnny who turned one. We did a super hero theme, I think Aiden enjoyed it. The funniest thing was while we were singing happy birthday he was yelling at everyone to stop.

I'm loving that the party turned out good but also loving that its over, party planning wore me out.

Loving these cake pops made by Miriam, a friend of mine. They were so good.

Loved the set up, Pinterest was my inspiration.

This Yummy cake was also made by Miriam, she did an awesome job.

                                          Loving my girls.

Aiden and Johnny loved all the gifts they got, now I wish I would have had this in a better spot. haha

Loving the stars my sister and her friend put in the grass for me

Loved the Telephone booth we made from a moving box.

I'm loving my nephews little cheeks.

                                          Loving my Birthday boy

 Loving my boys

Love that his mama still has a smile on her face, with all that was going around.
